極端気候の時代に、誰もが安心して暮らせる都市をデザインする
IPCCの報告書が示すように、気候変動は都市に生きる人々の日常と安全を大きく変えつつあります。記録的な豪雨、激甚化する洪水、命を脅かす猛暑 — 気候変動に伴う極端現象が頻発する時代に、都市はどう変わらなければならないのか。
私たちは「どのような人が、どこで大変な思いをしているか」という問いを出発点に、快適・安全・サステイナブルな都市環境の構築を目指して研究しています。フィールドワーク・GIS・アンケート調査を組み合わせた実証的なアプローチで、都市計画・建築計画・防災・エリアマネジメントの課題に取り組んでいます。
東京を拠点としながら、ソウル・ハノイ・ジャカルタをはじめとするアジア都市との国際共同研究を積極的に推進しています。

“Designing cities for everyone — in an era of climate extremes.”
As documented in IPCC reports, climate change is fundamentally reshaping the daily lives and safety of people in cities. Record-breaking rainfall, intensifying floods, life-threatening heatwaves — extreme climate events are becoming increasingly frequent. How must our cities change in response?
We start with a simple but urgent question: Who is struggling, and where? Our research pursues urban environments that are comfortable, safe, and sustainable for all, using fieldwork, GIS analysis, and survey methods to tackle challenges in urban planning, architectural planning, disaster resilience, and area management.
Based in Tokyo, we are actively engaged in international collaborative research across Asian cities — including Seoul, Hanoi, Jakarta, and beyond.
