Laboratory<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Urban Design Laboratory welcomes students and researchers with interests across a wide range of themes \u2014 urban flood resilience, accessibility and mobility, disaster preparedness, public space design, area management, waterfront planning, and more. Our research is grounded in fieldwork and shaped by genuine curiosity about cities and the people who live in them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no single &#8216;right&#8217; topic to bring to this lab. We encourage prospective members to come with their own questions, and we work together to develop them into meaningful research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Undergraduate Students<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Students in the Faculty of Environmental Studies at Tokyo City University are welcome to apply for laboratory placement from their third year. No prior specialist knowledge is required \u2014 what matters most is a genuine passion for cities and urban environments, and a willingness to engage with real social challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For information on laboratory placement, please check the department noticeboard or student portal.
